USA Friendly

This category is termed USA friendly because each of the articles concentrates on slots and casinos where American players are welcome. The choice became far more limited since Microgaming pulled out in November 2008, and US players should be very wary of where they play: there are plenty of operations that I wouldn’t touch with a bargepole that have managed to gain a foothold now that America has passed these ridiculous laws. As an example, U.S. players in New York and Washington will find online gambling illegal in their States, while those from California and Florida don’t – yet! The online casinos I review and list on this site are all places I know, play and trust such as Club USA and iNetBet with the exception of Bodog Casino where I have never personally played, but it’s reputation is very good among players from the United States.

Online Slots With Stacked Wilds

Note: Check out some videos of online slots with stacked wilds at Slotjunkies.

Not sure about you, but when I look for entertaining online slots, free spins are the key, but this is closely backed up by the concept of the “Stacked Wild” symbol. Or, in fact, Expanding Wild symbols. Briefly for those who don’t know what this means, it is a Wild symbol that can potentially cover all the symbols on a reel. A Stacked Wild is a Wild symbol that comes in blocks – the number depending on the number of positions in view on a reel (3 or 4 is the norm) while an expanding wild is a single Wild that, when it lands, expands to cover the whole reel.

iNetBet Casino – USA Accepted

Posted By: Dave Letterman

With the choices of online casinos becoming less and less for US players, I have decided to focus in on the handful of casinos I trust in this market. There appears to be plenty of choice for Americans but quite honestly, most of the casinos attacking the US market now are either untrustworthy or so new that they haven’t convinced me they are reputable.

iNetBet casino is one of the few that buck this trend, and I have had an account here for several years. It uses RTG (Realtime Gaming) software to drive it and there is a wide choice of games, in particular for online slots players the “Real Series” slots are the pick of the bunch. These are notoriously streaky, but iNetBet have the payout ratio set to a decent 95% which

Safe Online Casinos For USA Players

Posted By: Dave Letterman

September 2011: The following article was authored in late 2008 following the implementation of the UIGEA which enforced US banks and financial institutions to stop transactions to and from online gambling establishments. Since then, aside from more casinos pulling out of the USA, not a lot has moved on. For a more up to date view on where to play, check out my USA casinos microsite. bear in mind that online gambling is illegal in several US States so please ensure you check before you play and be aware that cashing out takes time!

— Original Article:

As you may have read, on the 10th November 2008, Microgaming software has implemented a system-wide ban on new player registrations from the USA. Unfortunately, this accounts for well over 90% of the safe and reputable casino operators that American players could previously play.

As a result, I would urge players from the United States to procede with caution. In my own opinion, there are only a handful of online casinos that I would consider recommending for USA residents and these are listed below.

Important Note For American Players

Posted By: Dave Letterman

Microgaming have announced that from 10th November 2008, none of their casino licencees will be able to accept new registrations from the USA. Any US residents that have accounts registered by Sunday 9th November will be able to play on.

As Microgaming casinos account for about 90% of the safe casinos in the USA, I would recommend going to this list of Microgaming casinos where you can sign up to a few before it’s too late! But make sure you do it before Sunday night! If you are too late, then check out my recommendations for Safe US Online Casinos from those that are left.

Aztec’s Treasure Slot Review (RTG)

Aztecs Treasure Slot Machine - RTG

Aztec’s Treasure is a popular RTG slot, part of their entertaining “Real Series”. It’s a 20-payline 5-reel slot with a Random Jackpot, expanded wild symbol and free spins bonus.  The wild symbol occurs on reels 2, 3 and 4 only and is 3-symbols deep, so you could end up with all paylines covered, or just one. The slot is medium variance, meaning that there’s a reasonable chance of busting out without a big win or the bonus round.

Aladdin's Wishes Slot

Aladdin’s Wishes is a low/medium variance (risk) RTG “Real Series” slot – one of 20+ 5-reel slots comprising the Real Series to be found in RTG casino downloads. The Real Series share similar characteristics in that they are mostly 20-paylines (the odd one is 25), 5 reels, have bonus feature rounds (usually triggered by scatters) and each has a Random Jackpot which is awarded, oddly enough, randomly! The bonus is nearly always a free-spins bonus, although in Aladdin, it can vary.

Goldbeard Slot Review (RTG)

Goldbeard Slot RTG

The Goldbeard slot is part of RTG’s thoroughly entertaining “Real Series” slots, of which there are some 20 to check out. It is a 5-reel, 20-payline bonus slot where the bonus comprises between 4 and 24 free spins with a 3x multiplier and “extra wild” symbols during the bonus round. The free spins are triggered by the wild symbol appearing on reels 1 and 5, and they come in blocks of 3, so it is possible to have 3 wilds on each of reels 1 and 5 in view.
