Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers Slot Machine

Posted By: Dave Letterman

When WMS launched their land-based Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers slot into their online casino Jackpot Party I’ll stick my hands up and say it didn’t really excite me initially. From experience, I’ve come to realise that most bi-name franchised slot machines tend to be built primarily to entertain the lower budget players whereas me, I prefer the volatile games with mega-big win potential.

So while I play a lot at Jackpot Party myself, I tended to play games like the Bruce Lee slot, the original Zeus and more recently, the Kiss and Spartacus slots which use WMS’s superb Colossal Reels technology. But one day I tried Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers and realised that I’d been missing out. Totally brilliant and as I write it has become my favourite slot machine bar none. Even games like Book Of Ra, Great Blue and Microgaming‘s seminal Thunderstruck slot machine seem to taken a back seat and believe me, I NEVER thought I’d say that (especially pertaining to Thunderstruck!).

£20,606 Progressive Jackpot Hit at Jackpot Party (Video!)

This video captures the moment when Jackpot Party player “Bingo_6666” hit the top progressive jackpot in January 2013. I’ve played this casino lots & *lots* over the past year (my Jackpot Party casino review) and had several of the smaller progressive jackpot awards but never hit the top one. And this was on a relatively modest £2.40 stake too whil eplaying the Jungle Cats slot.

You can bet from 20p / 30p upwards on Jackpot Party games and the progressive awards – it’s a 4-tier jackpot system starting at £20 – are random and can be won on any bet size although, the larger your bet, the more chance there is of hitting it.

Chasing the jackpot is one of the more common pastimes among us slots players. Whether that be the “high pay” lineup on a video slot, a progressive jackpot or one of the newer “random jackpots”, it’s what we all aim for from the jackpot slots.

The primary difference between a “progressive jackpot” and a “random jackpot” is simple enough: with the former, the slot jackpot is awarded for lining up 3 or 5 of a certain symbol on a payline. The latter is more common among video slots and unsurprisingly is awarded randomly. Below are examples of the more popular jackpot slots with rogh indicators of what to expect and some of the recommended online casinos that carry them.

Tunzamunni Slot Review (Microgaming)

Tunzamunni Jackpot Slot

Tunzamunni is a progressive jackpot slot available at Microgaming casinos which gives players a chance to win £100,000 (give or take) from a 25 pence bet! It’s a very simple 3-reel 1-payline slot – what you see is what you get – but of all the online jackpot slots, Tunzamunni is among the best slots for offering the chance to win big from such a small wager.
