Who’s Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?

Postd By: admin

Wolf Run SlotWagerworks - they who are owned by the world’s largest land-casino based game manufacturer no less - have just added the Las Vegas slot favourite, Wolf Run, to their flash casino software.

The slot is currently being rolled out to the casinos using Wagerworks software but is already at Virgin Casino (No Americans - read on!) and will no doubt be at my other favourite, Blue Square Casino very soon. For USA players this is a bit of a bummer as US residents are not accepted at Wagerworks powered casinos - sorry, blame your politicians.

That said, if American players want something similar, check out the review of the Cashapilla slot which also has stacked wilds and free spins.

So what’s Wolf Run like?

Well, if you have played the original in Vegas then you shouldn’t be disappointed…the Wolf Run slot online is pretty much identical to the land casino version of Wolfrun, with just a couple of subtle changes to the music. And that’s about it. There was a small issue with the first release not allowing you to skip the count-up on wins during the free spins (and on a 40-line slot with stacked wilds, that can take a while!) but they have since circumnavigated that problem with a “spin” button on the slot. If you haven’t played it in Vegas, and you like “free spins” slots then you’ll probably like the Wolf Run slot to be honest. If you know “Coyote Moon“, then it’s pretty damn similar - oh, and the latter is also due at these casinos in the coming months by the way!

It differs to other online slots in several areas. Firstly it’s got a massive 40 paylines spread over 4 lines on 5 reels (20 symbol positions in view) and has a “stacked” wild symbol on each reel - meaning they come in sets of 4 so you could fill up all positions with wilds in theory. To trigger the bonus, which consists of 5 free spins which can be retriggered, you need to see the rather lamely titled “bonus” symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4. because each reel has 4 positions, this happens with reasonable regularity, although being on the high side of medium variance, there are still some lean and mean periods on Wolf Run.

But hey, 40 paylines, stacked wilds and free spins - you can certainly get some pretty decent wins and I had a 200x hit while testing this out for this review - check out the screenie above!
