Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers Slot Machine

When WMS launched their land-based Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers slot into their online casino Jackpot Party I’ll stick my hands up and say it didn’t really excite me initially. From experience, I’ve come to realise that most bi-name franchised slot machines tend to be built primarily to entertain the lower budget players whereas me, I prefer the volatile games with mega-big win potential.

So while I play a lot at Jackpot Party myself, I tended to play games like the Bruce Lee slot, the original Zeus and more recently, the Kiss and Spartacus slots which use WMS’s superb Colossal Reels technology. But one day I tried Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers and realised that I’d been missing out. Totally brilliant and as I write it has become my favourite slot machine bar none. Even games like Book Of Ra, Great Blue and Microgaming‘s seminal Thunderstruck slot machine seem to taken a back seat and believe me, I NEVER thought I’d say that (especially pertaining to Thunderstruck!).

One of the reasons why I love Ruby Slippers is obvious if you watch the video above which I happened to catc one day. That is for real money in case you are wondering! The beauty of the game is that you can win big in more than one way.

The “Glinda” good witch wild reels feature is probably the best chance of a mega-win, especially if in the rare instance you can get 4 or 5 reels wild but, as you can see above, even 3 wild reels can pay big. Then there are 3 seperate features, one of which (Emerald City) to be fair is a bit pants most of the time (200x is the best I’ve had) but the other two have bags of potential.

I won’t spoil the surprie by explaining all the features and sub-plots in the Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers slot but if you are one of the lucky ones who Jackpot Party accept (UK, Luxembourg, Belgium, Sweden, Finland and one or two other countries as of May 2013) then you should give it some spins.

For the record, there are two other Wizard Of Oz slots either online: the original Emerald City game which isn’t too bad and as of July 2013, Wizard Of Oz Wicked Riches which is a G+ game with the 3D reels WMS fans will know. But I’ll be amazed if it is as good as the Ruby Slippers version!

As with all the slot machines at Jackpot Party, this game also has the Jackpot Party Progressive built into it (2.99% RTP on top of the 92% for the base game itself) and if you want to see how that looks, check out this recent post showing someone hitting the top level jackpot for £20,000!
