Aladdin’s Wishes Slot Review (RTG)

Aladdin's Wishes Slot

Aladdin’s Wishes is a low/medium variance (risk) RTG “Real Series” slot – one of 20+ 5-reel slots comprising the Real Series to be found in RTG casino downloads. The Real Series share similar characteristics in that they are mostly 20-paylines (the odd one is 25), 5 reels, have bonus feature rounds (usually triggered by scatters) and each has a Random Jackpot which is awarded, oddly enough, randomly! The bonus is nearly always a free-spins bonus, although in Aladdin, it can vary.

The bonus round is triggered by lining up 3 or more adjacent “magic lamps” starting on reel 1 or reel 3. For every lamp lined up, you get 1 “pick” on the bonus screen which can range from 2x the bet to 25 free spins. The latter is where it tends to get lucrative and you’ll know when you get it as a genie pops out and reveals the spins. The feature can be retriggered during the free spins. Have a look at the screenshot below.

Aladdin’s Wishes is definately among my favourite RTG slots, but it can be frustrating when you wait a while to get the feature, only to reveal the minimum 6x bet and no free spins. The graphics and sounds are nice and it is an entertaining slot and I’ve noticed that the Random Jackpot is often quite high. Whether this is because no-one plays it much, or whether it is because it is stingy, I couldn’t tell you!

Aladdin's Wishes Slot Feature

The RTG slots tend to spin a bit slower than on Microgaming slots, but that doesn’t detract too much unless you are a fast player. The autoplay feature is very similar: you can set it to up 1,000 spins and to stop on certain criteria, like any win over X or when the feature is awarded. Quite handy if you want to nip out for a bit and are chasing a jackpot, but 1,000 spins is a bit limiting if you want to chase one overnight, as it takes around 2 hours to do that many spins.

I’ve had several random jackpots on RTG slots before, betting between £2.50 and £10 ($5 and $20) and they can be one from as little as 20 pence a spin, however the more you bet the higher your chances of hitting one apparently. I’ve seen players post winning screenshots of these jackpots won at 40 pence before now, so I know it can be done.

You will find with Aladdin, indeed all RTG slots, that wins in normal play don’t tend to compete with slots like Thunderstruck on Microgaming, however the bonus rounds do tend to average around the same, and of course the estimated 95% payouts on these slots takes into account the random jackpot. Good fun, though not always as profitable as you’d like unless you hit the jackpot.
